Anatomic/Clinical Pathologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Tennessee

A large multi-specialty hospital is seeking a pathologist for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in Tennessee. The surgical caseload involves approximately 35-45 cases per day, including GI, GU, Gyn, Endocrine, breast, lung, soft tissue, lymph node biopsies, and resections, but no lung or pancreas resections. There are 1-6 cytology cases per day, including FNAs, EBUS, and body fluids, but no cytotechnologist is available for screening. Occasional frozen sections are performed, and a part-time PA handles grossing 3 times per week. The department has 2 full-time histotechs and part-time administrative and PA support. Pathologists may need to assist in procedures and handle grossing and frozen sections when necessary. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to around 4:30-5 PM.
