As a Project Engineer, you will design custom-built equipment and solutions for both existing and new customers while guiding projects through every stage of execution. This is more than a design position; it’s a leadership role that connects engineering, sales, manufacturing, and customers to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Design custom-built equipment and solutions for existing and new customers
Work with customers and Applications Engineers pre-sale to develop the most efficient and effective solutions
Collaborate with engineers, sales staff, and shop floor personnel to manage projects pre- and post-sale
Travel to customer sites to gather necessary dimensions and information required for design and installation
Apply mechanical engineering skills to design, develop, and enhance consumer products, manufacturing processes, and equipment
Work hands-on with manufacturing to resolve problems encountered during fabrication and construction
Generate 3D SolidWorks models, construction prints, and bills of materials while coordinating with sales, shop personnel, and fabrication constraints
Follow projects from initial concept through design, fabrication, installation, and final commissioning
Travel to customer sites for onsite startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting when necessary
Perform application engineering duties including mass balances, utility utilization calculations, heat transfer calculations, ROI calculations, and more
Lead project presentations and proposals at customer facilities, via Zoom/Teams, and at trade shows and conferences
Attend industry conferences to network with peers and potential customers
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Proficiency in SolidWorks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to prepare and maintain documentation according to internal procedures
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
Positive and social personality
Ability to collaborate across multiple departments during various stages of projects
Willingness to travel part-time (approximately 20–25%)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
