This role supports a high-performing Proposals and Client Intelligence team that plays a critical role in driving business growth and membership expansion.The position requires a local professional who can work onsite two days per week, with Wednesday as a required anchor day and flexibility to select a second weekday. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced proposal professional who thrives in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment and enjoys working on complex, high-impact projects.Job DescriptionThe Senior Proposal Consultant is responsible for leading the development of sophisticated responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and similar solicitations. This individual will collaborate closely with Sales, Account Management, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver strategic, accurate, and compelling proposal content.This role also serves as a project manager and content strategist for assigned proposals, ensuring timelines are met, quality standards are maintained, and potential obstacles are proactively addressed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining proposal library content, ensuring accurate electronic proposal records, and supporting broader sales and marketing initiatives as business needs evolve.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, write, edit, and manage comprehensive responses to RFPs, RFIs, and related requestsServe as project manager and strategic content lead for assigned proposal initiativesPartner with subject matter experts to research and develop complex content for internal and external audiencesMaintain and enhance proposal database content for assigned products, services, and processesManage relationships with internal business partners and contribute to sales and marketing effortsRepresent the proposals team on internal committees and cross-functional workgroupsEvaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and participate in continuous quality improvement initiativesQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degreeMinimum of five (5) years of proposal writing experienceExperience with RFP responses, marketing content, or other professional writingAdvanced written communication skills with strong attention to detailProven project and time management skills with the ability to manage shifting prioritiesProficiency with common business software tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendorsLegal authorization to work in the United StatesPreferredExperience using specialized proposal management software (e.g., Qvidian)Background in healthcare or health insurance industriesAPMP certificationStrong research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsBenefitsDahl Consulting is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that will allow you to choose the best coverage to meet your family’s needs.
