Scanning Operator

Scanner TechnicianAptara is looking for dependable and detail-oriented Scanner Technicians to join our team for a fast-paced, short-term project. In this role, you will be responsible for converting physical documents into digital formats while ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper organization of files. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and comfortable working with scanning equipment and computer systems.This position would be the perfect summer job. We encourage college students to apply!What You Will DoEfficiently operate document scanning equipment to digitize records.Prepare materials for scanning (cut, remove staples, sort, and organize)Review scanned files to ensure clarity, completeness, and accuracyPerform quality control checks and re-scan documents when necessaryOrganize and index digital files according to company proceduresMaintain and clean scanning equipmentPerform basic equipment care and report any issuesFollow company policies related to data security and confidentialityMeet daily production goals and deadlines in a team-oriented environmentConsult with the Head of Scanning daily on goals and progressWhat We're Looking ForHigh school graduate/GED or current college studentReliable, punctual, and able to commit to a summer scheduleBasic computer skills (file management, data entry, software use)Experience with imaging software (Adobe Photoshop or similar product)Strong attention to detailAbility to handle repetitive tasks with consistencyWork EnvironmentOffice or document processing settingRequires sitting for extended periodsMay involve lifting and moving boxes of documents (50 lbs.)Who We AreHeadquartered just outside of Washington, D.C., Aptara's dedicated team of seasoned professionals specializes in digital media, content production, and publishing innovations.
