Job Description Loudoun Endocrinology Associates PLLCWe are an Endocrinology practice located in the Landsdowne areaof Leesburg, VA looking for a dedicated and reliable part timemedical assistant to join our team.Please apply if you are looking for at least 1 year of employment or more (this is not a seasonal position).This is also an excellent opportunity for gap year/post baccalaureate students to gain hands on medical practice clinicaland administrative experience. Responsibilities include but not limited to:• Taking vitals, obtaining point of care hemoglobin A1ctesting and rooming patients and entering information inEMR• Restocks medical supplies within clinic and notifying practice if supplies need to be ordered/restocked• Reviewing and sending prescription refill requests• Processing prior authorizations for both medications andmedical equipment• Some knowledge of medicine, prescriptions, dosages, etc ishelpful but not required.• Submitting medical equipment and medication authorization forms• Answering clinical phone line and take accurate clinicalmessages within the limits of knowledge and practicepolicy. May answer patient’s inquiries with respect tomedical questions as directed by physician• Notify physician of any patient related questions• Obtain medical records as needed from other medicaloffices• Cross-training to answer phones and schedule patient visits using an EMR• Ensuring new patient forms are completed and new patientinformation is entered into EMR prior to patients’appointmentQualifications• Strong Work Ethic – Being punctual and dependable havinga growth mindset, being a positive team-player, andwillingness to learn• Adaptability/Flexibility – ability to adapt easily to changingconditions and work responsibilities.• Multi-tasking/Attentiveness –• Effective Communication Skills – transparently andrespectfully communicating with team and patients• Customer/Patient Service Oriented- Friendly,compassionate and helpful to patients and others.• Strong Computer Skills – expert ability to use a computer &navigating electronic medical records.• High Level of Confidentiality in line with HIPPA compliance–Maintain patient and employer confidentiality in a remoteand in office setting• Detail Oriented – High attention to the multiple and minordetails of a project is very important.Expected hours: Up to 20-29.9 hours weeklyBenefits: Paid on the job training, PTO, 401K
