Role DescriptionIdentify and Prioritize NQC Reduction Opportunities - Partner with plant leadership and stakeholders to identify key cost drivers and areas for AI/ML impact. Analyse Manufacturing & Quality Data - Perform deep exploratory and multivariate analysis to uncover root causes of defects, scrap, and variability. Develop Predictive Models for Quality Outcomes - Build models linking process parameters to defects, rework, and yield issues. Deliver Prescriptive Decision Support Tools - Combine predictive models with optimization techniques to recommend optimal operating conditions for plants. Drive Deployment, Adoption, and Impact Tracking - Work with data engineering and product teams to deploy solutions, monitor performance, and ensure business impact.Job ResponsibilitiesBridge Between Data Science and Plant Operations - Act as a key link translating analytical insights into practical, shop-floor decisions. Focus on Reducing Non-Quality Costs (NQC) - Drive measurable reductions in waste, scrap, and inefficiencies across manufacturing sites. Work in Complex, Real-World Environments - Handle messy, incomplete data and adapt models to fit operational constraints. Evolve Analytics Maturity - Transition use cases from descriptive → diagnostic → predictive → prescriptive analytics. Enable Data-Driven Culture in Manufacturing - Build trust with plant teams and ensure sustained adoption of analytics solutions.Skills Required Technical Skills - 3 to 7 years of experience with Python, SQL and data science. Manufacturing Data Expertise - Experience working with sensor, batch, recipe, and line data, along with quality outcomes like scrap, rework, and yield. Advanced Analytics & Root Cause Analysis - Strong capability in multivariate analysis, anomaly detection, and identifying key drivers of process variability. Predictive & Prescriptive Modelling - Hands-on experience building supervised models and integrating them with optimization techniques Industrial Statistics Knowledge - Practical application of SPC, control charts, and Design of Experiments (DOE) in real manufacturing settings. Stakeholder Communication & Adoption - Ability to translate complex analytics into actionable recommendations for plant managers, operators, and quality teams.RoleData Science, Senior AssociateEducation / Qualification Bachelors degree required (preferably in a quantitative field).Masters in Business Analytics, Data Sciences, or equivalent is preferred.Consulting background is a plus.
