Electrical Mechanical Assembler
The purpose of this position is to provide support performing electrical assembly in an electrical department of a manufacturing shop.
We work a 9/80 schedule (9 hours a day Monday through Thursday, and 8 hours every other Friday, with every other Friday off).
Responsibilities include:
Complying with requirements per drawings and work order documentation
Performing electrical assembly of products, including but not limited to control panels, power distribution boxes, IO panels, automatic transfer switches (ATS’s), and subassembly of components
Working with wiring diagrams
Working with mechanical drawings
Performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency with documentation
Abiding by safety regulations
Working to achieve product consistency
Maintaining a clean work area and achieving general facility cleanliness goals (FOD prevention)
Complying with processes and procedures
Perform other various duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge in measuring
Knowledge in use of basic hand tools
Process-oriented disposition and mentality (a commitment to following procedures, instructions, and rules)
Experience and/or interest in technical or mechanical disciplines (desired)
Well spoken and written English language skills
Organizational skills
Problem solving skills
2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Technical experience and aptitude
Able to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations
Ability to understand direction and expectations of daily goals
Able to read and interpret documents such as design drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed
