Adjunct Faculty, DMIN-Nuclear Medicine - SU26
Overview
College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty members to teach DMIN-Nuclear Medicine (SU26). The college is committed to teaching and learning in a multicultural environment. Teaching opportunities may include days, evenings, and weekends in flexible schedules.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Adjunct Faculty instructors are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and blended formats. Additional duties include student evaluation and timely submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nuclear Medicine or a related field required.
Alternatively, Bachelor's Degree or higher in Medical/Health Physics.
Experience
Minimum of three years post-certification nuclear medicine technology, health physics, and/or radiopharmacy experience.
Must be a nuclear medicine technologist or radiopharmacist knowledgeable of current nuclear medicine technology and educational methodology.
Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively teach and engage students.
Ability to integrate technology and instructional methods to enhance learning outcomes.
Preferred experience in educational leadership, student mentorship, and instructional roles.
Current experience in nuclear medicine and PET/CT radiation biology and radiation safety.
Licenses and Certifications
Must hold certification and registration in nuclear medicine technology from a national certification board; ARRT(N) or CNMT.
Alternatively, can hold certification as a board certified medical physicist.
Additional Information
Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching is preferred. Access to a personal technology setup and a home computer capable of online teaching is required.
