Procurement Manager

Reports To: Director of Real Estate & Procurement OperationsHanes Companies is seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager to lead our indirect procurement strategy from our Winston-Salem, NC headquarters while supporting initiatives across North America. In this pivotal role, you will develop and execute category strategies, optimize costs, enhance supplier performance, and ensure compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who delivers measurable value and builds strong cross-functional partnerships across the organization.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage indirect procurement categories such as chemicals, packaging supplies, and industrial/facility suppliesDevelop and implement category strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performanceIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers for indirect goods and servicesNegotiate contracts and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure service levels and complianceDrive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, and contract renegotiationAnalyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiencyAssess supplier risks and implement contingency plans to mitigate operational impactsImplement procurement best practices and tools to streamline processes and improve transparencyQualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fieldCertifications or coursework in procurement or supply chain (CPSM, CIPS, APICS) are a plusExperience:1–3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operationsExperience with vendor selection, negotiation, and contract administrationExposure to categories such as chemicals, packaging, industrial supplies, and/or facility supplies is a plusSkills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Basic understanding of spend analysis and cost-saving methodologiesKnowledge of procurement best practices, compliance standards, and risk management principlesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify solutionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and complianceLearn more about us at: www.hanescompanies.comHanes Companies is a people-first organization offering a comprehensive benefits package, including health/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings with company match, stock purchase plan, paid time off, holidays, employee assistance program, gym reimbursement, education reimbursement, and more!Equal Employment Opportunity/Veterans/Disability EmployerHanes Companies is a people-first organization dedicated to providing a complete benefits package for our employees and their families.
