Safety Technician

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment by implementing and maintaining safety protocols across construction sites. This position requires a strong understanding of occupational health standards, compliance management, and risk management practices. The Safety Technician will collaborate with various teams to promote safety awareness and compliance with OSHA regulations. Duties Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites to identify potential hazards. Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards. Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices, workers' compensation, and emergency response procedures. Monitor compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations and report any violations or concerns. Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure safety measures are integrated into project planning and execution. Utilize construction management software to track safety incidents, inspections, and compliance documentation. Assist in the investigation of accidents or incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. Experience Proven experience in occupational health and safety within a construction environment is preferred. Familiarity with OSHA regulations, workers' compensation processes, and EHS standards is essential. Experience in risk management practices related to construction activities is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks effectively and implement appropriate safety measures. Excellent communication skills for training staff and collaborating with various stakeholders. Knowledge of construction management software is a plus. Qualifications: Required: 1. High School Diploma or GED. 2. Minimum 1- 3 years’ experience as a Safety Technician. 3. TWIC, ARSC Basic Safety, Valid state driver’s license Preferred: 1. First-Aid/CPR, OSHA 10. 2.
