Student Loan Contact Specialist
Reliant’s Student Loan Contact Specialist is responsible for managing and recovering delinquent higher education accounts. The Contact Specialist maintains a work flow of delinquent loan accounts managing them to completion while complying with daily, weekly, and monthly goals. This is a full time, non-exempt position that reports directly to the Director of Operations. This position is onsite.
Responsibilities
Provide voluntary methods for customers to best meet their financial needs
Act as the main point of contact for borrowers to result their delinquent student loans
Work with customers to obtain necessary documentation and information relative to their current circumstances by levering technology and customer service skills
Sustain proper follow up and maintenance of collection records
Meet the daily and monthly goals as assigned by Reliant’s management team
Maintain targeted performance goals for collections
Remain up to date on internal and external industry changes
Properly document all processing of borrower’s accounts
Utilize technology for adequately obtaining borrower contact and location information
Adhere to both internal and industry wide compliance regulations
Any other responsibilities assigned by management
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Student loan, loan consolidation, and education services experience preferred
Previous collections, call center, customer service experience is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-pace environment
Ability to meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly production goals
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work 2 evening shifts a week
Ability to work onsite
