Summary of Position: This position prepares undercoating equipment and raw materials, applies undercoating wax per the manufacturer's specifications, and then cleans and closes out equipment for proper shut down. This includes mechanical work, cleaning of vehicle surface area, and quality control activities. This is a general overview of the requirements for the position not an all-inclusive list of activities.Essential Functions, Duties, and Tasks: Proper startup of undercoating equipment Access computer system and prepare for production to begin Maintain raw material to ensure there is enough raw material to support production Verify air pressure is at the proper level Ensure the hose and spray gun are clean and in proper working order Verify tip is clean and free from debris Verify the spray gun is providing a good spray pattern prior to starting production Application of undercoating wax to the proper components and areas beneath the vehicle Identify proper components, and apply undercoating wax with spray gun Perform quality checks as required to confirm undercoat is applied per manufacturer's guidelines Remove undercoating overspray from finished areas of vehicles as needed Loads, unloads, or stages new vehicles onto undercoating ramp as needed Proper closeout of undercoating equipment Purge the tip of excess material Remove tip and ensure it is properly cleaned and maintained Ensure air pressure is turned off Maintains undercoating pump per specified guidelines Daily cleanup of work area Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:RequirementsWork as part of a team Work with limited supervision Mechanical aptitude Ability to adhere to strict quality standards without variance Ability to function effectively under pressure Ability to interact with others effectively; work as a team; good interpersonal skills Ability to judge distances Ability to lay in supine position for extended period while working underneath vehicles Any and all duties as assigned Education, Experience, and Minimum Requirements:High school diploma Ability to keep confidential any work documents seen or conversations heard during performance of job duties.
