This role is responsible for managing tax engagements, reviewing complex returns, leading a team of tax professionals, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients. The ideal candidate has a strong public accounting background and is a CPA or actively working toward licensure.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and review federal and state tax returns for individuals (1040), corporations (1120), S corporations (1120S), and tax-exempt organizations (990).Provide proactive tax planning and strategic advice to help clients minimize tax liability and meet business and personal objectives.Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff by assigning work, reviewing deliverables, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching.Oversee quarterly estimates, year-end tax planning, and tax provisions as applicable.Perform technical tax research on complex issues and communicate conclusions clearly to clients and internal teams.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on tax matters, including correspondence with the IRS and state taxing authorities.Manage tax audits and examinations, coordinating responses and supporting documentation.Drive process improvements and quality control initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with professional standards.Collaborate with audit, advisory, and client service teams to deliver integrated solutions.Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to clients and staff.QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Masters in Taxation or Accounting preferred.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required or actively pursuing licensure.5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, including exposure to 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 990 returns.Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.Proven experience managing and developing tax professionals.Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel; experience with tax provision and document management tools is a plus.Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.BenefitsVacation/PTOMedicalDentalVision401kBonusRelocation
