Job DescriptionPower Electronics Engineering Manager Opportunity - Camarillo, CAUltimate Staffing is partnering with an industry-leading manufacturer of advanced motion control and power electronics products to identify an experienced Power Electronics Engineering Manager.Location: Camarillo, CASchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSalary: $175,000 - $210,000 DOEEmployment Type: Direct HirePosition OverviewThis leadership role is responsible for managing the electrical engineering team while providing technical direction for the development of high-power motor drives, power conversion systems, and related hardware platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership skills with deep expertise in power electronics design, analog controls, thermal management, EMI/EMC, and product development.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop Electrical Engineering and PCB Engineering teamsProvide organizational oversight for the Mechanical Engineering functionDefine technical strategy and architecture for power electronics productsOversee development of motor drives, power conversion systems, gate drive circuits, sensing, and protection circuitryLead design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering best practicesDrive improvements in product quality, reliability, manufacturability, and performanceCollaborate closely with Firmware, Manufacturing, Quality, Test, and Applications Engineering teamsSupport product launches, sustaining engineering, troubleshooting, and escalationsQualificationsM.S. in Electrical Engineering required; Ph.D. preferred10+ years of power electronics design experience (15+ years preferred)Previous engineering leadership or people management experienceExpertise in analog control systems, power conversion, and industrial motor drivesExperience with high-voltage/high-current power electronics, EMI/EMC mitigation, and thermal designProficiency with SPICE and modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or MathcadStrong understanding of PCB design constraints for high-power applicationsExperience working in cross-functional product development environments Preferred ExperienceIndustrial motor drives and servo systemsPower semiconductors (Si, SiC, GaN)Magnetics design and power conversionEmbedded systems and hardware/firmware integrationRegulatory compliance and safety standards (UL/IEC)Thermal management and cooling systems Requirements: Due to regulatory requirements, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
