Restaurant Server/BartenderThe DoubleTree Hotel of Tinton Falls is seeking candidates for the position of Restaurant Server/Bartender to join our award-winning team.The DoubleTree Hotel of Tinton Falls is part of the Hotels Unlimited family of hotels. We understand that small acts of thoughtfulness make all the difference in creating an extraordinary hospitality experience.The role of the Restaurant Server/Bartender is responsible for the orders and service to our guests. Duties include providing excellent customer service, making menu item recommendations, and ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately. The Restaurant staff is also responsible for reconciling the restaurant reports at the end of their shift.Responsibilities Include:Providing excellent customer serviceObtaining guests' orders and entering them into the POS systemHave knowledge of the food and alcoholic beverage menusConfirm that each person consuming alcoholic beverages meets the minimum age requirementProcess payment from the guestConverse with guests to ensure satisfaction or problem solveCommunicate any food allergy or special accommodations needs to the kitchen staffEnsure cleanliness and company standards are metHandle customer complaints or issues in a professional mannerMonitor alcohol consumption and follow safety guidelinesAssist with inventory and restockingResponsible for side work such as refilling condiments, refilling napkins, cleaning bathrooms, rolling silverware, sweeping floors, refilling receipt paper on POS system, and any other tasks as assignedCompensation and Benefits Include:This position offers a starting rate of $15.92 per hour plus gratuities.Part-time employees will have the opportunity to earn paid time-off and join the company's retirement plans (once qualified).Full-time employees will have the opportunity to earn paid time-off and join the company's health, dental, vision, and retirement plans (once qualified).Job Qualifications & Skills:Prior restaurant experience preferredPrior bartending experience a plusExcellent organization and multi-tasking abilitiesServSafe Certification preferredExperience with Digital Dining, Micros, or similar POS systemCustomer service orientation with strong attention to detailExcellent time management and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to stand for long periods of time and lift at least 20lbsMust be willing and able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights weekends, and holidays
