If you have a passion for project management and estimating in the fencing or construction industry, we want to hear from you!Job Description:The Commercial Bid Work Estimator / Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire bidding and project management process for commercial fencing projects. This includes gathering project requirements, preparing accurate estimates, managing project timelines, and ensuring successful project execution.Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial fencing projects, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs. Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop clear and accurate estimates. Manage bid submissions from start to finish, ensuring compliance with client specifications and deadlines. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Oversee project management duties from contract award to project completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. Perform site visits, as needed, to assess project requirements and conditions. Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client. Work collaboratively with the sales team, field crews, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management. Job Requirements:Proven experience in estimating and project management, preferably in the fencing, construction, or similar industries. Strong knowledge of commercial bid processes and construction estimating methods. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and estimation software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, and team members. Valid driver's license and ability to travel for site visits as needed. Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an estimator or project manager in the construction or fencing industry. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required. Knowledge of fencing materials, installation processes, and industry standards is a plus. Ability to manage multiple bids and projects simultaneously.
