Pipelayer - Experience in Water, Sewer, and Storm Drainage
SummaryThis is NOT an oil and gas line position. This position requires experiences in PVC, HDPE, and ductile iron installation. Also needs high levels of experience in water, sewer, storm drain pipeline and associated structures. Installation of rural and fresh water distribution in an oil field is a main duty.DUTIESKey player on the pipe installation and excavationsHandling and placing pipe, valves, manholes, etc.Function as a spotter for heavy equipment operatorsInstalling ductile iron, water, sewer, storm drain pipeline and associated structuresInstalling rural and fresh water distribution in an oil fieldOngoing cleanup responsibilitiesFencing skills are a mustSets up lasers and grade devices, understands blueprints, grades and elevationsFamiliar with PVC, HDPE and Metal waterlines, sewers and storm piping.Familiar with mechanical joint installation such as flanges, megalugs, mechanical couplers etc.Uses a chainsaw, axe, or other tool to remove trees and brush from the pipeline right-of-wayUses chopsaws, compactors, and other tools related to pipe installationFamiliar with OSHA trench safety regulations and various types of shoring systemsFamiliar with rigging for pipe, manholes, shoring etc.Operates pumps for dewateringCleans and prepares PVC or HDPE pipe for installation.
