We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities.Responsibilities:Effectively assist with s project designs, costing, and the implementation management activitiesWork closely with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), Permitting, Asset Management, Reliability, Operations and Technical Services, to research, analyze and provide supporting documents for inclusion in project scopesAssist the Environmental (HSE)/Permitting group in obtaining required permits to prevent delays in construction, commissioning, and final handover to the plantResearch and provide information for inclusion in project scopes of work subsequent contracts, procurement orders, required supporting documentation, and performs other duties as assignedFormulate project parameters, and assist in monitoring progress to address constraintsPreform other duties as assignedEffectively communicate with members of the project team and collaborate with stakeholders to adopt the most cost effective and efficient practicesProvide technical review for procurement tender and award activitiesCreate and/or update standard operating procedures and asset management tactics, and how the process is used to provide training to operating personnel during commissioning and start-upDevelop framework to measure a project's metrics to monitor performance, and contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly data reconciliation and analytics reportingEnsure all project control procedures are implemented and compliant with company policy and standardsPreform other duties as requiredQualifications:Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in engineering or a related field requiredProject planning/management experience requiredKnowledge of the seven project phases concept (Identify, Prepare, Appraise, Present, Implement, Monitor, and Evaluate), and become proficient at using the concepts for all projects preferredKnowledge of the fundamentals of DROM (Design for Reliability, Operability, and Maintainability) and OR (Operational Readiness) principles preferredCommitment to safety for self and others as well as embracing environmentally friendly work practices requiredContract management experience preferredProficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and visualization software and scheduling software requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredExperience with DROM (Design for Reliability, Operability, Maintainability) practices preferredAbility to work rotating shifts requiredAbility to work Underground requiredFamiliar with OR (Operational Readiness) practices and how to apply them preferredFamiliar with Reliability Engineering and condition-based monitoring practices preferredBusiness Improvement, Asset Management, Enterprise Resource Planning experience preferredAbility to distinguish the difference between greenfield and brownfield projects preferredFamiliarity with Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) initiatives preferredWhat We Can Offer YouA comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution AND employer match, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team.Endless opportunities to grow and learn with industry colleagues.Access to a variety of career opportunities across the organization.Barrick is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.#LI-JB1Thank you for your application, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted..
