Does the heavier functions in housekeeping.Essential Functions:Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential informationComplies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practicesResponsible for proper operations and cleaning of housekeeping equipment in a safe mannerPerforms housekeeping functions in accordance with the Infection Control Program and understands the Right To Know ProgramPerforms general daily cleaning (dusting, mopping, sterilizing, disinfecting, sweeping, etc.) in assigned work areasKeeps assigned areas furnished with suppliesAssists in moving resident's furniture and personal belongingsKeeps furniture in an orderly and neat arrangementAssists the maintenance department in snow removal and other functions as necessaryPerforms other functions as directed by the supervisor Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferredAbility to understand and follow oral and printed instructionsHigh degree of personal hygiene and cleanlinessAbility to do repeated pushing and pulling of sweepers and housekeeping carts, and lifting or carrying a minimum of 70 pounds throughout an eight hour shiftAbility to stand, walk, stoop, twist and turn frequently throughout the course of an eight hour shiftOperates housekeeping and laundry machines, i.e. buffer, floor machines, wet vacs, washer, dryer, etc. When necessary, operate a snow blower or use of snow shovel for snow removalAbility to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and temperatures normally ranging from 0 to 100 FPhysical Requirements:
