This role will focus on driving revenue through full-service consulting engagements, with an emphasis on primary market research, analytics solutions and strategic advisory for pharmaceutical and life science clients.The Sales Consultant will be responsible for prospecting, developing, and expanding client relationships, while working closely with internal consulting teams to deliver high-impact engagements across Michael Allen Company’s service lines. This includes acting as a liaison between clients, business development, and consulting teams to identify needs, shape solutions, and support successful delivery.Directly drive revenue growth through new business development and expansion within existing accountsProactively prospect and engage pharmaceutical and life science clients to identify new opportunities across consulting, analytics, and primary market research servicesBuild and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on commercial strategy and market insight needsDevelop tailored proposals, statements of work, and go-to-market approaches aligned with client objectivesPartner with internal consulting teams to scope, position, and deliver high-quality engagementsProvide superior customer service by coordinating with Project Managers and Managing Consultants to ensure successful execution and client satisfactionLead and participate in client meetings to understand evolving business needs and position appropriate solutions across MAC capabilitiesAnalyze and synthesize client and market insights to inform business development strategy and engagement opportunitiesThe ideal candidate is highly organized, intellectually curious, and experienced in both business development primary market research and/ or data analytics within the life sciences industry, with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsQualifications5+ years of business development or client-facing experience within healthcare, life sciences, or consultingDemonstrated success in selling consulting, analytics, or primary market research servicesExperience working within a healthcare professional services firm, market research firm, or life sciences organization preferredStrong understanding of primary market research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative) and analyticsProven ability to prospect, develop, and close business with pharmaceutical and life science clientsAbility to develop insightful, compelling proposals and delivering strategic sales communicationsStrong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesExperience collaborating cross-functionally with consulting, analytics, and commercial teamsStrong familiarity with drug development, commercialization, and marketing processes in the biopharmaceutical industryExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholdersAdditional InformationA career opportunity with MAC offers competitive wages, and benefits such as:Health and DentalLife, Accident and Disability InsurancePrescription PlanFlexible Spending Account401k Plan and MatchPaid Holidays and VacationSick Days and Personal DaysM3 reserves the right to change this job description to meet the business needs of the organization
