Account Manager

TRC’s client is an established manufacturer looking for a Client Support Specialist in the Supply Chain department to join their team in Portland, ME on a full-time, direct hire basis.The Client Support Specialist is responsible for interpreting customer requests, monitoring performance and delivery, investigating complaints, and negotiating pricing and discounts.RESPONSIBILITIES:Act as the point of contact with the customer on assigned accounts. Coordinate customer visits, presentations, and/or audits. Provide oversight for assigned customer accounts - evaluate customer performance requirements, delivery schedules, and communicates these to appropriate departments. Provide solutions to customer problems that impact cost or schedule. Negotiate requirements as predetermined across multiple customers, products, and internal teams. Focus on stock allocation issues to maximize customer service levels. Re-prioritize delivery schedule to meet customer commitments as necessary. Investigate and resolve claims or complaints concerning deliveries, invoices, or billing discrepancies in a timely manner. Approve or authorize special price quotations as predetermined and allowances, deductions, and adjustments on a case-by-case basis. Analyze and interpret data and make comparative analysis in order to recommend action. Perform other related duties as required and assigned. REQUIREMENTS:College degree in a 2- or 4-years business or related discipline. Minimum 1-3 years' experience in customer service or a related field. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Ability to quickly learn new processes and business concepts. Ability to lift and move objects up to 35 lbs. without assistance and occasionally up to 50 lbs. following company safe lifting protocol.
