Adult Development Home Provider/ Foster Care

This is a chance to help make a difference by opening your home to an individual with developmental and/or physical disabilities. This independently contracted position will provide a 24/7 family-like setting for an individual.Open your home to someone with a disability!The Adult Developmental Home Provider will ensure best practices and technology are used to teach people with developmental disabilities how to acquire the physical, intellectual, emotional and social skills needed to live as independently as possibleAdult Development Home Providersare contracted and reimbursed at a per-diem rate PLUS they receive monthly room and board from the individual they support – this income is tax exempt.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIESComply with regulations and maintain the required certifications on my homeMaintain and provide copies of personal injury insurance on my home and liability/personal injury insurance on my vehicle(s) and provide copy of a valid driver's license.Complete all Community Options training as required and scheduled by the Residential Director (based on the consumer's needs)Report immediately any consumer accident, injury, illness or unconfirmed departure to the Residential Director.Report immediately (but no later than one hour) any suspected consumer abuse or neglect to managementReport any changes in consumer's behavior or overall condition and any changes in the family home living situation to the Residential Director within one (1) working day, (i.e., vacation, household members, etc.)Assure that all physicians' orders, such as, medications, laboratory work and physical examinations are immediately reported to the Residential Director and follow his/her instructions based on physicians' orders.Participates in the development of the consumer's treatment plan and performs those portions of the treatments plan, which are assigned to me.Provides consumer a safe and home-like environment, regular and nutritious meals, reasonable transportation (church, doctor visits, etc.). A secure place for his/her personal belongings, reasonable accommodations for visitors, basic personal care items (towels, linens, soap, etc.). Provide access to a telephone and to do all things necessary to ensure the health and well-being of the consumer.Allow Community Options, Inc. staff to visit and monitor the home.Complete daily notesComplete MARSREQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATESFirst Aid, CPR, OSHA, Medication Certification course and any other required agencytrainings within first 120 days of employment.
