The selected candidate will be responsible for generating high‑quality data to support vaccine and bio-therapeutic development. Contribute to the optimization and execution of cell‑based, viral, and bacterial assays used to evaluate product performance in clinical trials. Work closely with multidisciplinary partners—including analytical scientists, clinicians, veterinarians, data analysts, and quality associates—to ensure robust characterization of host–pathogen interactions and to advance projects aimed at preventing and treating infectious diseases in companion and production animals.Duties & ResponsibilitiesHands-on laboratory work in molecular biologly including but not limited to DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, and qRT-PCRPerform cell‑based assays to support viral titrations, immunofluorescence assays (IFA), and neutralization assaysMaintain, passage, and troubleshoot diverse cell lines to ensure consistent assay performance and sterilityPerform embryonated egg inoculation, incubation, and harvesting for influenza virus propagation, including allantoic cavity inoculation and aseptic handling of eggs at various developmental stagesActively participate in lab meetings with an open mind and eye for creative solutions across the portfolio of projects. Bring plausible solutions to the discussionWork in a collaborative manner with other analytical colleagues and functions within Global Innovation. Network within and outside of Global Innovation, including clinical teamsComply with all applicable regulations, perform all work in a safe manner and maintain proper records in accordance with SOP’s and policiesRequirementsStudents must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship/co-op.
