Certification DetailsBLSLicense/Certificate VerificationAscension Specialty ExamAscension Core CompetenciesAscension Surgical Technologist Contract Worker Onboarding Education AttestationJob DetailsMinimum of 3 years recent full-time experience as a CVOR Certified Surgical Technician in a high volume hospital setting.Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac/thoracic/vascular procedures.Must provide verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed.Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment with the ability to 'hit the ground running.'Job RequirementsMinimum 3 years of recent full-time CVOR CST experience.Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments.Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter.Completion of Ascension Core Competencies within a year of start and updated every 3 years.Completion of Ascension Surgical Technologist Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation prior to clearance.Documentation of required vaccinations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, Positive PPD or IGRA, Fit Test, and Health Statement.Driver's License/State ID must be valid and meet address requirements.Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually.Completion of background checks including Ascension Criminal Background Check Results, Ascension EPLS, and drug screening prior to start and updated annually.Verification of education and employment relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start and updated annually.Must participate in call coverage for the service line after normal business hours and weekends.Schedule InformationSchedule is 3 shifts, 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM on weekdays based on department need at time of interview.Candidates must participate in call coverage after normal business hours and on weekends.
