Transmission Instructor Building the Future of Safe Transmission WorkWe are looking for a motivated Transmission Instructor to train and develop skills to ensure our transmission crews work safely.This role is perfect for an experienced field professional who enjoys mentoring others, improving performance, and driving a strong safety culture. You'll split your time between structured training at our Monroe, GA facility (75%) and hands-on coaching in the field (25%). You will report to the Transmission Training Manager within the Safety Department.Essential Functions:Deliver hands-on training focused on safe work practices, quality standards, and efficient work methodsWork directly with crews to coach, mentor, and develop skills in real timeSupport onboarding and development of new team membersIdentify training gaps and implement targeted development plansReinforce safety compliance and best practices across all job sitesEvaluate employee performance and provide clear, actionable feedbackConduct EHS audits and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standardsLead and support transmission construction training, including:Conductor installation and pullingStructure setting and removalRigging and productivity optimization with safety focusBare hand work – 44KV and 500KVApply industry expertise to maintain equipotential zones and safe work conditionsPartner with leadership to address performance opportunities and improve outcomesServe as a key connection between field operations and safety teamsWilling to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts.Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and inclement weatherMinimum Requirements:10 years of experience in transmission constructionStrong understanding of OSHA standards and utility safety practicesExperience coaching, mentoring, or training field employeesAbility to assess performance and implement practical solutionsValid Class A CDLStrong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence teamsComfortable using computers for reporting, documentation, and training materialsBi-Lingual (English/Spanish)Preferred:OSHA Outreach Trainer certificationCSP, CHST, CUSP, CET, or similar safety credentialsPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the responsibilities of this job, you will be required to talk, listen and use hand signals to communicate. You are occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
