Van Driver/Activity Assistant

Responsibilities:Drives company van on organized outings, as neededInterviews residents upon admission to determine their likes and dislikesDocuments the resident's participation in activities dailyPlans and maintains an inventory list of activity equipment and suppliesEvaluates the overall effectiveness of the resident's activity program and, as necessary, modifies the program to meet the resident's needs and interestsPlans and coordinates the Community newsletterCoordinates with the resident council to ensure resident input into the activity programCoordinates resident shopping orders for those unable to shop independentlyEngages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interactionEngage in continuous learning and development opportunities through attendance and participation in educational seminars, staff meetings, and other learning experiences
