About the RoleDates April 8 - May 4, 2026 3:15pm-7:00pm. Some Saturdays and Performances April 24-26 and May 1-3The Stage Manager interacts with and responds to students, staff, parents/guardians, and community members in ways that demonstrates their alignment and agreement with the district's equity commitments as expressed in Board Policy 7:12: Ensuring Racial and Educational Equity.Essential Skills and Responsibilities:Characteristics of a successful BRAVO Team Member:Believes, inspires and promotes the mission and vision of BRAVO!Passionate about theater and dedicated to collaborating with an equally passionate teamStudent centered, driven and strives for excellencePunctual, professional, prepared, efficient, productive, organizedSelf-motivated and follow through on tasks as expected or directedProfessional and respectful at all timesStrong communication skills verbally and administrativelyDaily/WeeklyFollow task list as compiled with Artistic Director, Business Manager and as created by the Production ManagerResponding to email and any parent/staff communicationGreet all guests entering BRAVO - you may have to stop what you are doing to take care of their needsAnswer the phone, check the mail, deliver packages and run errands as needed daily in the officePrepare all materials for each show - librettos, calendars, Google folders, schedules, production meetingsAssist and help prepare Rehearsals and build in both process and preparationHandle daily parent issues, challenge, questions, concerns - liaison for director(s)Research new hire positions and Coordinate interviews with potential new hires with the Artistic DirectorCoordination of Production technical calendar, scheduling and the meeting of deadlinesReport and update daily - share news, schedules, concerns and achievementsPlan ahead - always be working 2 weeks to months ahead, planning, preparing and communicating Productions/ProgramsAssist with rehearsal process and preparation as needed - new Director & all designersOversee Technical staff (costumer, TD, carpenters, scenic designer, LD, Sound Engineer): schedules, deadlines, meetingsAssist with all programming and production preliminary details - planning needs/ordering/researchPlan, communicate and lead production meetingsAssist with licensing of showsCoordinating, delegating or acquiring show specific items; i.e. props, lighting rentals, tool shed needs, rentals (prop, lighting, costume)Create and manage the production calendar/schedule for all showsManage and organize strikes with TD or Crew ManagerManage and train assistant stage managers (if/when needed)Plan, organize and execute Dry Tech with the crew in collaboration with the show teamMaintain a safe backstage environment at all times - always aware of safety and fire code Press and Advertisement Articles for online publications and newspapers. Assist with writing and preparing Press ReleasesSocial Media MarketingOversee calendar in coordination with BAB for updates on Facebook and InstagramVolunteer Coordinator/Parent LiaisonVolunteer management, assignment, & implementation with Business Manager.Field parental questions with email communication with Business ManagerCandidate Qualifications:Theatrical, Production and Organizational experience is a mustAbility to work under pressure and meet daily/weekly deadlinesSelf-motivating, self-starter, proactive, team-playerProficient in Google Docs - sheets, docs, forms, airtableStrong writing, communication and organizational skillsFlexible and able to multitaskLeadership and management skillsPhysical Requirements:
