Speech and Language PathologistSpecial Education Department2 Positions Available2026/2027 SYPosition Goal: To actively participate in the development and implementation of an effective Speech and Language therapy service program that provides for collaboration with staff and families to address communication disorders that interfere with an individual student's ability to access the educational program.Licensure: Master's Degreee including completed clinical practicum from an accredited college or university in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders, All New Mexico licenses applicable to assignment, ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements noted on job description.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsiblity and its associated duty satisfactory. The qualification requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.Provide direct services in a variety of settings to identified students on a regularly scheduled basis as required by each IEPAdministers diagnostic screenings, observations, and assessments and interpret data to determine qualification for servicesParticipate in developing and implementing IEPs through effective collaboration with the student, family, and staffRoutinely monitor student progress, revise supports, and assist in the implementation of accommodationsMake clinical decisions for goal developing, frequency and duration of services, and recommend dismissal from services as appropriateProvide recommendations and resources for other staff on topics related to communication disordersMust be able to provide own transportation between sites as needed for caseload.
