WDIV/ClickOnDetroit, the Graham Media owned NBC affiliate, is searching for a Creative Services Director . Come join the Station of the Year nine years running where our brands have the largest audience in our local community, and we broadcast all the big local events.Our next Creative Services Director will drive all creative efforts while aligning creative execution with brand strategy for all platforms blending both traditional and modern marketing approaches for audience development using all available tools and platforms. Very simply, the Creative Services Director is accountable for developing and executing strategic and tactical plans in collaboration with the station General Manager, News Department, Sales Team, Promotions Team, and Local Programming from the conceptual phase through actual implementation. We are looking for a Creative Services Director to develop, mentor, and inspire their team while fostering a fun, energetic, and fulfilling work environment.ResponsibilitiesLEADERSHIP:Provide direction and inspiration to Promotion team members in a manner that achieves the projects strategic business goals and metricsEffectively communicate creative and brand direction across all channels and platformsManagementThe ability to inspire, align, and deploy the right mix of internal or external talent to develop, implement, and optimize campaigns and programs that delight and differentiateManage internal team development with effective coaching, while fostering leadership through team spirit and leading by exampleCollaborationInnate desire and skill for building deep trusted relationships/partnerships and work effectively across internal teamsConfidently resolve internal/external challenges that weaken relationships or inhibit collective successGeneral DutiesOversee the brand image strategy for WDIV and its execution on air and onlineManage the Promotions professionalsDevelop promotional strategic plans and campaigns for News and local/network programmingDevelop and implement a winning promotional social media strategyCollaborate with Sales department to create content solutions for clientsManage production and outside media budgetsAssist in the crafting of internal and external station and corporate communicationsAct as a true collaborator and mentor within the creative and promotions departments as well as other disciplinesParticipate in outreach to community organizations about station programming and initiatives.QualificationsBachelors degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or other related field is preferredMinimum 4 years of managerial level experience in a promotions or creative services departmentProven track record for development of successful strategic marketing campaignsConcrete understanding of latest digital technology and social media applicationsAbility to lead a team of creatives and achieve measurable objectives and team growthAbility to work in a fast-paced environment calmly and manage deadline pressuresTo Apply Please Send Resume Via Email ToDianna Sharpe[email removed]Any offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, investigative background check, employment/education verifications and reference checks.WDIV is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
