Responsibilities

Define the overall architecture of the telecommunication gateway software and feature implementation, leveraging the latest advancements in Wi-Fi and fiber network technology.
Design and develop effective tools and services to monitor and configure the gateway's operational parameters.
Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand customer needs and create solutions that meet their requirements, as well as business goals and objectives.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in accordance with industry best practices.
Quickly debug and resolve any technical issues that arise.
Maintain technical documentation for all development activities.
Participate in code reviews to ensure the highest quality of code is delivered to production.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry.
Collaborate with other teams in Nagra’s engineering centers in India, Switzerland and USA
Your Key Qualities and Skills
5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software engineering specifically in the telecommunication home gateway domain.
Experience designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining networking and wireless products, including but not limited to, wireless routers, residential gateway, repeaters, extenders, and other Wi-Fi related products.
Proficient in programming languages C and/or C++ for embedded software.
In-depth knowledge of consumer gateway architecture (network configuration, network accelerator, etc)
In-depth understanding of Iptables and firewalling rules
Understanding of communication gateway components, including Wi-Fi, L1/L2
Solid knowledge of Linux and RTOS
Solid knowledge of at least one middleware OpenWRT and/or RDK-B (development and debugging)
Familiar with one Device Management platform such as BBF TR-069/369 and SNMP/ CableLabs
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to develop creative solutions.
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team environment.
A passion for technology, with a desire to continuously learn and grow.
Preferred:Experience with WireShark, TCP/UDP protocols and embedded targets
Deep knowledge of 802.11 Wi-Fi systems, standards and protocols
Practical experience developing software for devices compatible with Matter standards and protocols
Driver development in embedded device
