Owners are local South Carolinians that strive to focus on quality craft beer and local ingredients.Summary of Cooks and Line Cook PositionThe Line Cook is capable of accurately and efficiently executing the preparation of all salad, sandwich, grill, pizza, and sauté items while meeting presentation and timing standards, assists others in the kitchen, and maintains a clean, well-stocked and organized work area. Also, preps food items for service. All kitchen staff have the opportunity to move up in the company.QualificationsGood communication skillsPrevious experience with grilling, salad, sandwich, pizza, and entrée preparationExperience with prepping batch items and food from specific recipesAble to accurately read and communicate ordersWell organized, shows a sense of urgency; able to track multiple orders and multitaskWorks well under pressureTeam player, works productively with othersUnderstanding and adhering to all food safety practices required by SC DHECA minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking and at least 6 months experience in a similar capacityKey ResponsibilitiesMaintains up to date knowledge of recipes, procedures and plating for all menu, specialand promo items for which he/she is responsiblePrepares prep items, grill, salad, sandwich, entree items to recipe or special orderMeets timing and proportion standardsCoordinates orders with others, assists coworkers as needed Works cooperatively with front of house staff to respond to guest needsEnsure areas of responsibility are well stocked and guest readyMaintains high standards of cleanliness, safety and food safety throughout the shiftAs required: stock taking, rotating stock, cleaning, opening and closing tasks; and any other duties designated by the management team or Kitchen Leader.Physical DemandsMust be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for several hours at a timeAbility to lift and carry 0-25 pounds on a regular basis, throughout the shiftMust be able to push and pull equipment of various sizes and weights Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks.Requires grasping, standing, walking, repetitive motions, hearing ability and visual acuity.Presents self professionally, e.g. clean uniform, well groomedPay is competitive and based on experience and position with room to move up.843-299-1254
