Superintendent Construction and BuildingWorcester, Massachusetts Direct Hire Apr 8, 2026 Now Hiring: Superintendent | Commercial Construction Location: Newburyport, MAWe are partnered with a New England-based general contractor known for delivering high-quality, complex projects across healthcare, life sciences, higher education, and commercial sectors.With a strong reputation for collaboration, proactive communication, and hands-on project execution, this team is built to successfully manage technical and fast-paced environments from start to finish.They are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations from pre-construction through closeout.What You'll Do:Lead all day-to-day field operations, subcontractor coordination, and site logisticsAct as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and project teamsSupport pre-construction planning, including logistics, phasing, and scheduling strategyDevelop and manage 3-week lookahead schedules and track project milestonesEnsure all work aligns with drawings, specifications, and approved submittalsOversee quality control, inspections, punch lists, and project closeoutEnforce site safety protocols and ensure OSHA complianceMaintain accurate documentation in Procore and internal systemsWhat You Bring:5+ years of experience in commercial constructionProven ability to manage field operations and subcontractorsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience with scheduling, site coordination, and safety managementProficiency in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft OfficeOSHA 30 Certification (required)MA Construction Supervisor License (required)Healthcare project experience is a plusCompensation & Benefits: $150,000+ base salary (depending on experience) Comprehensive benefits packageWork Environment: Field-based role with projects primarily in and around Newburyport, MA, with travel as needed.
