Job Description: We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Servers to join our team at Taverna. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing a memorable dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities: Greet guests promptly and warmly, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Deliver orders to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including wine pairings and specials. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including clearing tables and resetting them promptly. Assist with opening and closing duties as needed. Uphold all restaurant policies and procedures, including proper handling of cash and credit transactions. Engage in pre-shift meetings and ongoing training sessions to stay informed about menu updates, service standards, and restaurant promotions. Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service. Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude, escalating to management when necessary. Participate in team initiatives, including role-playing and daily training exercises to enhance service skills and knowledge. Requirements: Prior experience as a Server in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. A passion for hospitality and providing outstanding customer service. Knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail knowledge, is a plus.
