Maintenance Manager-Plant 1 Day Shift
Job Summary:
This role as the maintenance manager will involve the PM schedules and working to establish predictive maintenance. Other important duties include parts ordering, machine up time and efficiency, minimizing scheduled downtime, and working with the operations crew to reduce scrap and maintain the plant's strong safety record.
Maintenance Manager will troubleshoot and repair any piece of machinery to ensure it works properly and is safe for employees to use. Will regularly inspect equipment to see if there are any clear problems that need to be fixed. Additionally, Maintenance Manager will approve all installation and repair activities completed by anyone on their maintenance team.
Knowledge | Experience | Skills:
High school diploma or GED. Ten years experience in injection molding maintenance. Extensive knowledge of injection molding equipment, assembly processes, auxiliary equipment, decorating equipment, robots, automation equipment and infrastructure (air compressor, chillers, towers and power distribution). Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer experience. Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS system is preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures that maintenance staff adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Maintains the facility and equipment through preventative maintenance program.
Responsible for monthly budget and reporting any budgetary issues.
Identify and present cost saving opportunities to upper management.
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop.
Oversees the various training programs for the maintenance department.
Responsible for all mechanical and electrical systems of the plant. Regular hands-on work and training development for a small-medium sized maintenance crew.
Schedule PM's, assign WO through regular use of CMMS.
Lead the safety committee.
Preventive Maintenance and statistical analysis of equipment performance, develop action plans to address issues.
Manage maintenance department budget.
Select and work with outside vendors: equipment, parts, electrical services, etc.
