Job Description 1st shift warehouse associate for shipping and receiving7am- 3:30 pm + O.TMon- Fri and Sat when needed$23.00/hrEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.ReceivingUnload inbound freight from tankers and containers safely and efficiently.Sort, receive, and assign inbound materials to designated warehouse locations.Inspect incoming products for accuracy, including item descriptions, quantities, and condition.Deliver product samples and documentation to Quality Control (Q.C.).Report inventory or product discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.Store approved and labeled materials in proper warehouse locations following Q.C. approval.Process and receive returned materials.Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and general warehouse housekeeping.ShippingPick and prepare customer orders using pick lists and RF scan guns.Palletize, shrink-wrap, and secure freight for shipment, including maneuvering drums between pallets.Apply shipping labels and required documentation, including MSDS paperwork.Verify Bills of Lading and packing slips for accuracy.Coordinate with production regarding finished goods ready for shipment.Report product or labeling discrepancies to the supervisor.Load outbound shipments onto trucks and complete shipping documentation.Return non-shipping stock to proper warehouse locations.Participate in inventory counts and maintain a clean, organized work area.ConsignmentWork as part of a 3-person team to complete month-end consignment inventory processes.Scan and verify materials for specific vendors.Collaborate with team members performing forklift operation, computer verification, and scanning functions.Qualifications PreferredPrevious warehouse, shipping/receiving, or forklift experience preferred.Ability to lift and move materials safely in a fast-paced environment.Experience using RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems is a plus.Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.Benefits Information:PTO in accordance with the IL Day and Temporary Labor Service Act.After 90 days of employment:Dental & Vision Care offered (details provided upon eligibility).Health Care offered (details provided upon eligibility).Work Location: In person
