Software Developer (Kotlin) - Freelance

About the Role: Mindrift is seeking an AI Tutor in Coding with strong Kotlin development experience to contribute to projects that improve the accuracy, reasoning, and technical capabilities of generative AI models. In this freelance role, you will use your programming knowledge to create challenging prompts, develop evaluation criteria, and review and correct AI-generated responses. The role is fully remote and offers flexibility to work on projects that match your expertise and availability. Candidates must currently reside in the specified country, submit their resume in English, and indicate their English proficiency level.

Key Responsibilities: Create coding prompts that challenge AI models and test their technical understanding. Develop detailed scoring criteria to assess the accuracy and quality of AI-generated answers. Review, evaluate, and correct model responses using your Kotlin and software development expertise. Apply technical knowledge to help improve AI performance on specialized programming tasks. Adapt to different project requirements, topics, and detailed guidelines as needed.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Development, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 3 years of Kotlin development experience in Android or server-side development. Advanced English proficiency at C1 level or above. Strong understanding of the JVM ecosystem and Java interoperability. Experience with the Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and modern software architectures such as MVVM and Clean Architecture. Proficiency in Kotlin coroutines, flows, and asynchronous programming. Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger, Hilt, or Koin. Experience with Git workflows, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum practices. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Understanding of secure coding practices, including OWASP principles. Strong debugging and code optimization skills. Ability to use AI-assisted development tools effectively. Willingness to learn new methods, switch between tasks quickly, and follow complex project guidelines.

Work Arrangement: This is a fully remote, part-time freelance opportunity. You will need a laptop, a reliable internet connection, and time available to contribute to assigned projects. The role is designed to fit around existing professional or academic commitments.
