Quality Assurance Technician

Factory Location: Saratoga Springs, NY Pay: $31.36/hr at time of hire with $.50 cent increases after 90 and 180 days upon successful review Shift Differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate shift differential paid for applicable hours worked Schedule: 5:00pm-5:30am (Sun - Tues, e/o Sat) Benefits of working for Primo Brands Health Benefits: Medical, prescription, dental, vision, flexible spending account (FSA), dependent care flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA) Retirement/Investing: 401K with a 5% match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Insurance: Employee Life Insurance, short and long-term disability, critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, spouse/domestic partner/child life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment Other great benefits: Employee discounts, save on auto, home, and pet insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation and sick time, 9 paid holidays and 3 paid floating holidays, paid leave for when you have a baby, adopt a child, or become a foster parent, legal services, identity theft protection, employee assistance program (EAP), adoption reimbursement benefit, FEDlogic, commuter benefits Responsibilities: Run water processing equipment: reverse osmosis, carbon filtration, etc. Troubleshoot basic water processing functionality: pumps, valves, piping, etc. Run and troubleshoot water sanitation equipment: CIP system, etc. Support water bottling and packaging processes, primarily QA and food safety testing Ensure all lines and all processes are validated according to compliance standards Complete basic laboratory microbiology and chemistry testing with proper aseptic technique Participate in water sensory (taste and odor) evaluations Adhere to site safety and quality KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) Support site and corporate quality initiatives Communicate results, deviations, and improvement plans to co-workers and other team members Qualifications: College level education desired, relevant pursuit of study in a related area a plus Prior experience performing basic laboratory procedures Exposure to Quality Assurance or Production in a food or beverage processing facility is preferred but not required Ability to work self-directed and with a team Solid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a team-based environment Experience with sanitation and microbiological control systems preferred Familiarity with food safety and food defense requirements, audit and regulatory environments, microbiological testing, MI and other manufacturing control systems Ability to interact with various internal contacts to manage the flow of work Exposure to Fluid processing and the principles of sanitation science Understanding of good manufacturing practices and HACCP principles Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plus Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency Ability to troubleshoot and make independent decisions related to quality and operation excellence Ability to move/lift 40 lbs and stand on your feet for long periods of time throughout the day
