Construction Project Manager
The RoleThis role is remote, with 50% travel to the states we have cultivation/production facilities, primarily travel will be in mid-west and east coast but could be in any of the 14 states we operate. GTI just keeps growing and growing! We’re seeking a logistical genius and construction management guru to oversee CPG construction projects. As a Construction Project Manager for GTI CPG, you will be responsible for serving as the liaison between GTI HQ and our Cultivation/Processing Facility build-outs in the field ensuring scope of work is executed, quality of brand is maintained, timelines are beat, and budgets are always in the green! You should have off the charts communication skills to work with sub-contractors/vendors and your teammates alike. As a proven Construction PM, you have managed 20+ projects at a time working across a national landscape.ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Facility Construction (Primary Focus)Lead full lifecycle construction of manufacturing facilities from site feasibility through commissioning and turnoverOversee build-outs for:Commercial production kitchensInfusion and formulation labsPackaging and labeling linesAutomated filling and bottling systemsVaults and finished goods storageCold storage and environmental-controlled roomsCoordinate sanitary design standards and cGMP-aligned constructionEnsure compliance with:Local health department regulationsOSHA requirementsState cannabis manufacturing regulationsFood-grade and pharmaceutical-grade standards where applicableManage integration of:Process utilities (compressed air, steam, chilled water)High-capacity electrical infrastructureHVAC systems for temperature and humidity controlCleanable wall/ceiling systems and floor coatingsOversee equipment procurement, vendor coordination, installation, and startup sequencingLead commissioning and operational readiness efforts with site manufacturing teamsExtraction Facilities (Secondary Focus) Support construction of:Hydrocarbon, ethanol, CO₂, and solventless extraction rooms Post-processing and refinement labsSolvent storage and recovery systems Coordinate C1D1 / C1D2 rated spaces and hazardous electrical systems Ensure compliance with NFPA, fire code, and AHJ requirements Manage specialized HVAC and gas detection systemsCultivation Facilities (Secondary Focus) Support build-outs of:Flower, veg, and propagation roomsDrying and curing spacesIrrigation and fertigation systemsEnvironmental control (HVACD) systems Coordinate high-load mechanical systems and infrastructure upgradesCore Project Management Responsibilities Direct all phases of construction management:Feasibility and due diligenceBudget development and cost controlScheduling and resource planningDesign coordinationField executionCommissioning and close-outDevelop resource-loaded critical path schedulesPrepare and manage capital budgets and cashflow projectionsAct as single point of contact between HQ, site leadership, engineering, vendors, contractors, landlords, and governing authoritiesTrack project performance across cost, schedule, scope, and quality metricsIdentify and mitigate operational and regulatory riskMaintain strict adherence to corporate quality, safety, and brand standardsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field, preferred5+ years of project management experience, preferredPreferred experience with: Controlled Environmental Agriculture (CEA) Greenhouse or indoor grow facilities High-capacity HVAC and mechanical systems Industrial electrical distribution systems Experience managing multi-site, multi-state expansion programs Strong understanding of environmental controls and agricultural infrastructure preferred Technical SkillsProficient in construction management software such as: Primavera P6 Procore Timberline PlanGrid (or similar) Advanced Microsoft Project and Excel (budget tracking, forecasting, modeling) Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, irrigation, and environmental control drawings Experience coordinating large mechanical subcontractors and specialty vendors Professional AttributesHighly analytical and systems-oriented Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Comfortable managing 15–20+ concurrent projects nationally Effective communicator across operations, engineering, compliance, and executive leadership Operates with professionalism and integrity Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments Additional RequirementsMust pass all required background checks Must remain compliant with all applicable state and company regulations Flexible schedule required, including occasional evenings/weekends during critical project phases Willingness to travel nationally as required The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.Green Thumb Pay Range$90,000—$120,000 USD
