This Design Engineer will have opportunities to work on various types of renovation and new construction projects for commercial, multi-tenant residential and institutional building types, including health care, technology, utilities & education markets.Essential FunctionsDrafting of electrical construction drawings including details, plans & sections.Electrical load and energy calculationsDesign of electrical power and lighting systemsDesign of fire alarm systemsSelection of electrical equipmentCoordinating with other engineering and architectural trades during designDevelop construction documents in AutoCAD and RevitParticipate in developing details, equipment schedules and specifications.Research and assesses building performance and other regulations.Contribute to design discussions and carry design concept through to project drawings.Contribute to sustainable design discussions and implement sustainable strategies.Coordinate and communicate with other team members.Position RequirementsDegree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Aided DraftingMinimum 8-years of experience working for a consulting engineering firm.Ability to work with minimal assistance from senior staff.PE not required but a plus.AutoCAD and/or Revit experience required.Equal Opportunity EmployerThe VIP enterprise is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
