Req ID: 83851-1 Job Title: PI Subject Matter Expert (PI SME) Location: Rosemead, CA Duration: 6+ Months Employment Type: W2 only Salary Range: $60.00 – $64.00/hr.Job SummaryThe PI Subject Matter Expert (SME) will lead and support the design, build, migration, and stabilization of AVEVA PI environments as part of a multi-year enterprise historian modernization program. The role spans eDNA to PI migration, WAMS/EMS/CRAS PI environment build-outs, metadata modelling, interface migrations, historical data loads, testing, production cutover, and post go-live support across QA, PDS, and Production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform eDNA to PI gap analysis covering functionality, metadata, event files, and reportingDefine PI environment preparation strategy for Grid systemsAuthor detailed specifications for metadata updates, event file management, and extraction approachesSupport preparation and validation of eDNA data extractsDrive stakeholder reviews and mutual sign-off of analysis outputsLead event file migrations from CRAS and WAMS into PIExecute and validate historical data loadsBuild and validate AF/DA metadata models aligned to Grid operationsDesign, build, and migrate interfaces including DGA and DeltaXSupport Grid QA, PDS, and Production cutoversAssist with system validation, performance tuning, and data reconciliationParticipate in cutover planning, execution, and stabilizationProvide SME support during finalization, turnover, and handover activitiesSupport training and change management activities for PI users and operations teamsContribute to metadata standards and governanceDevelop and review technical documentationProvide user support and knowledge transfer post go-liveDrive final documentation and mutual sign-offRequired Skills & Experience10+ years of experience with:AVEVA PI SystemPI DAAFPI VisionStrong expertise in:Historian migrationseDNA to PI migrationPI interfacesAF modellingMetadata designHands-on experience with:WAMSEMSCRASGrid systemsExperience with:Event filesHistorical data loadsLarge-scale PI systemsSAT cyclesProduction cutoversStrong documentation and stakeholder communication skillsTechnical SkillsAVEVA PI SystemPI DAAFPI VisioneDNA MigrationHistorian MigrationWAMSEMSCRASDeltaXDGAMetadata ModelingCompany Benefits & CultureInclusive and diverse work environmentOpportunities for professional growth and developmentComprehensive health and wellness benefits
