The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and implementation of individualized care plans in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patient status, responding to changes in condition, documenting care accurately in the medical record, and coordinating with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other members of the healthcare team. The role also involves educating patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions, while promoting safety, comfort, and dignity. The Registered Nurse will follow evidence-based practices, maintain infection control standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to support the mission of Effingham Health System.Qualifications Valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain); current BLS certification required, ACLS and other advanced certifications preferred.Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs and symptoms across varying levels of acuity.Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education abilities, with a commitment to compassionate, culturally sensitive, and inclusive care.Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHRs), documenting care accurately, and following regulatory and organizational documentation standards.Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team, manage time effectively, prioritize multiple tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.Knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement practices; willingness to follow policies and contribute to ongoing process improvements.Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or willingness to pursue further education as needed.Previous acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred, especially in hospital, emergency, medical-surgical, or specialty care settings.
