CAD Technician

CAD TechnicianJob DescriptionThe CAD Technician will be responsible for creating detailed drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and components, based on current examples and supporting future design initiatives. The role requires high attention to detail in both plan and elevation views. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of working independently to create standardized drawing sets for a large network of fulfillment operations.Responsibilities+ Create detailed CAD drawings for material handling equipment and workspaces.+ Support design initiatives for future projects.+ Work with the team to transform designs into models.+ Ensure drawing sets standardize workspaces across a large network.+ Manage and work with layers in CAD software.Essential Skills+ 3-5 years of experience operating CAD software with layer management skills.+ Associate's Degree in Drafting and Design.+ 1 year of experience drawing in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment.+ Basic knowledge of material handling and storage systems.+ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, BIM, Navisworks, and Adobe software.+ Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.+ Strong organizational skills.+ Document management proficiency.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree is preferred.+ Experience in design and layout is advantageous.+ Ability to lead small groups.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
