Superintendent – Commercial ConstructionLocation: Houston, TXCompensation: Competitive Base Salary + Bonus + BenefitsOverviewA reputable commercial general contractor is actively seeking an experienced Superintendent to support a growing pipeline of work throughout the Houston market. This individual will oversee field operations from project startup through completion while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in alignment with quality standards.This opportunity offers exposure to a strong backlog of K-12, higher education, healthcare, and industrial projects with a well-established contractor that continues to expand throughout the Texas market.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all daily field operations from mobilization through project completionManage subcontractors, scheduling, site logistics, and coordination of tradesMaintain project schedules and proactively address field-related delaysConduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standardsCoordinate inspections, quality control, and punch list activitiesWork closely with Project Managers to align field and office operationsReview drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure accurate executionLead subcontractor meetings and maintain strong communication across all project stakeholdersMonitor manpower, materials, and equipment on-siteEnsure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget expectationsProject Experience (Required)Candidates should have experience leading commercial construction projects including a combination of:K-12 Education ProjectsHigher Education / University ProjectsHealthcare Projects (Hospitals, MOBs, Clinics, Renovations in Active Environments)Industrial / Manufacturing FacilitiesGround-Up Commercial Construction ProjectsRenovations and Tenant Improvement ProjectsQualifications5+ years of experience as a Superintendent within commercial constructionProven experience overseeing projects $10M+ in valueStrong knowledge of commercial construction methods, scheduling, and site coordinationExperience managing subcontractors and multiple trades simultaneouslyAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software preferredOSHA 30 Certification preferredWhy This OpportunityStrong pipeline of K-12, healthcare, industrial, and higher education work throughout HoustonLong-term opportunity with a stable and growing commercial GCDiverse portfolio of projects and repeat clientsCollaborative leadership team and strong company cultureCompetitive compensation structure with bonus potential and benefitsFor immediate consideration please email resumes to Edgardo@scotthumphrey.com
