DescriptionJob Title Boater Pump-Out Intern-Seasonal Location Virginia Beach, VA, US Organization Name Boater Education Work Schedule and Other Information This position includes a mandatory three-day orientation on May 21-23. Following orientation, the schedule will be Fridays through Sundays until September 6. Report time is 8:00 a.m., with shifts lasting between 5 and 10 hours. Brief DescriptionThe Boater Education and Pump-Out Program is a supportive effort of HRSD and the Wildlife & Sport Fish Restoration Grant Program - administered by the Virginia Department of Health, and the Cities of Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach. Under broad guidance, the Boater Pump-Out Intern is responsible for providing community education, performing holding-tank pump outs at local marinas and residences, and conducting other office and field support activities.Summer Season operates Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Or postgraduate from an accredited college/university within two years. Experience Required • None Desired • Familiarity of the Hampton Roads area Licenses and Certifications Requirements • Valid Driver's License from state of residence.
