You’ll be at the center of the patient experience—gathering important clinical information, supporting exams, and ensuring each visit runs smoothly from start to finish.In This Dynamic Role, You’llGuide patients through their visit by collecting medical histories and performing preliminary and specialized testingAssist doctors during exams to support accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plansPrepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environmentHelp coordinate patient scheduling and flow throughout the dayDeliver a high-quality, welcoming experience through clear communication and attention to detailThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of a team that makes a real impact on patients’ health every day.POSITION LOCATION: 2874 E Dupont Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825What We Offer6.5 paid holidays per yearApproximately 10 days of PTO within first yearEmployee Referral ProgramFull slate of benefits to include health, dental, vision, and 401kGrowth and wage increase through company paid certification programEssential ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.Perform all preliminary and any doctor requested tests on all patients.Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).PHYSICAL DEMANDS (per ADA Guidelines)Physical Activity: Standing for sustained periods of time, Stooping, Grasping, Lifting, Talking, Hearing.Physical requirements: Light work. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular basis from floor to waist, 5 lbs. from waist to shoulder, and 5 lbs. from shoulder to overhead.The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
