This includes teaching cheers, stunts, and dance routines; promoting school spirit; always ensuring safety; and fostering teamwork, discipline, and leadership among team members. The coach will work closely with the athletic department, school administration, and parents to support athletic events, competitions, and school functions.Key Responsibilities:Plan and conduct practices focused on cheer techniques, stunting, tumbling, and performance.Lead the cheer team in promoting school spirit at games, pep rallies, special events and focus on crowd engagement.Choreograph routines for halftime shows, assemblies, and competitions.Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulations for cheering and tumbling rules. Always emphasize safety, particularly during stunts and tumbling activities.Consistently model and promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and mutual respect. Treat every player with dignity, fostering a strong sense of self-worth and belonging, while upholding respect for opponents, officials, and spectators always.Promote positive team culture, including sportsmanship, building trust, responsibility, and leadership.Ensure all participants meet eligibility, academic, and attendance requirements.Support player development by ensuring every athlete has an opportunity to cheer in every game.Manage uniforms and equipment.Maintain open and professional communication with Middle School AD, student-athletes, parents, and school staff.
