Commercial Electrician

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Electrician to join our dynamic team. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in commercial environments following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts and modifications. Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and low/high voltage testers to complete electrical tasks efficiently. Work on construction sites performing new installations or renovations while adhering to safety protocols and building codes. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation systems within commercial settings. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate, ensuring ongoing safety and compliance. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades like frame carpentry or handyman services to coordinate work seamlessly on-site. Qualifications Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrician tasks preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of NEC regulations, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical code compliance. Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, high voltage installations, and industrial automation including PLC programming. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, power drills, wire strippers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other essential electrical testing equipment. Construction site experience with a focus on renovation projects or new builds within commercial environments. Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints accurately while following detailed instructions. Skilled in framing carpentry or general handyman tasks is a plus for versatile project support.
