Day Treatment Mental Health Worker

As a Day Treatment Mental Health Worker, you'll be right there with them, helping them to build coping skills, navigate challenges, and experience success in both the classroom and therapeutic setting.This is a hands-on role; you'll be leading groups, supporting clients, and collaborating closely with therapists and teachers.What You'll DoLead and support therapeutic skills groups and structured activitiesHelp manage behaviors in classroom and therapeutic settingsStep in early when situations escalate using de-escalation and crisis intervention skillsBuild strong, respectful relationships with adolescentsWork closely with therapists, teachers, and your team to stay aligned on each client's goalsSupport daily routines like meals, transitions, and activitiesDocument client progress and services Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training opportunitiesWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related field required; if social work, LSW requiredAt least one year of experience working with youth in a mental health, behavioral, school, or similar settingSomeone who stays calm under pressure and can think on their feetA team player who communicates clearly and follows throughDe-escalation or crisis intervention skillsBasic computer skills (Word, Excel)Why People Stay in This RoleReal, meaningful interactions with clientsStrong team support; you're not handling tough moments aloneOngoing training to build your clinical and behavioral skillsClear structure to the day with enough variety to stay engagedAbout Youable Emotional HealthYouable is a nonprofit focused on helping youth and families build stability and confidence through mental health services.
