We are seeking German SDH Subtitle Editors for upcoming freelance projects involving the post-editing of AI-generated German SDH subtitles. New to professional SDH work? We are also open to considering candidates without previous professional SDH experience who demonstrate a strong linguistic background and relevant skills. Candidates with promising qualifications may be invited to complete a subtitling assessment/test as part of the selection process.Project DetailsLanguage: German Audio → German SDHService: AI-Generated SDH Transcription Post-EditType: Freelance / Remote (Applicants may be located anywhere in the world)Pay Rate: Per program minuteVolume: Project-based; details provided upon assignmentTurnaround: Based on individual project schedulesScope of WorkSelected editors will work from AI-generated German transcription and subtitle files, reviewing and editing the content against the source audiovisual material to produce accurate, professional-quality German SDH subtitles.• Review and correct AI-generated German transcription• Correct transcription errors, omissions, and misinterpretations against the source audio• Review and adjust subtitle timing and spotting as needed• Correct segmentation, line breaks, and reading speeds• Add or correct speaker identification, sound effects, music cues, and other SDH elements• Ensure compliance with project-specific style guides and technical specifications• Perform a final review to ensure the completed subtitle file meets professional linguistic and technical quality standardsRequirements• Native-level German proficiency• Strong command of German grammar, spelling, punctuation, and idiomatic usage• Professional experience in German SDH subtitle creation, transcription, timing, or post-editing is strongly preferred• Experience reviewing or post-editing AI/ASR-generated transcription or subtitles is a plus• Familiarity with professional subtitling software; OOONA Tools experience is preferred• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify errors introduced by automated transcription• Ability to work independently and meet established turnaround timesSelection ProcessQualified applicants may be asked to complete a short assessment before being approved for project work.How to ApplyIf interested, please respond with:• Your CV and/or link to your ProZ profile• A brief summary of your relevant German language, transcription, subtitling, or SDH experience• Any experience you have working with AI/ASR-generated transcription or subtitles• The subtitle software/tools you have experience using• Your general availability and capacity
