MiTek's experience in designing, manufacturing, and selling high performance commercial, mobile, residential, marine, and motorsports audio has created some of the best equipment on the market.We're looking for a skilled Power Supply & Audio Amplifier Engineer to design, develop, and validate high-performance power and audio circuits for commercial, industrial, or OEM products. This role blends deep analog expertise with practical, hands-on engineering-ideal for someone who enjoys taking designs from concept through production and sweating the details that make great audio sound great.This position has a hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.Looking for qualified candidates in or willing to relocate to the Elkhart, IN or Sanday, UT. Power Supply DesignDesign and optimize AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies, including linear and switching topologiesPerform schematic capture, simulation, component selection, and PCB layout reviewAddress efficiency, thermal performance, EMI/EMC, safety, and reliability requirementsSupport compliance testing (UL, CE, FCC, etc.)Audio Amplifier DesignDesign and develop audio amplifier circuits (Class A, AB, D, or hybrid)Optimize audio performance: THD+N, SNR, frequency response, stability, and efficiencySelect and evaluate audio ICs, power devices, magnetics, and passive componentsTroubleshoot noise, distortion, grounding, and layout-related issuesPrototyping & ValidationBuild and test prototypes; develop test plans and validation proceduresUse lab equipment (oscilloscopes, audio analyzers, spectrum analyzers, loads)Perform root-cause analysis and drive corrective actionsCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teamsSupport design for manufacturability (DFM), test (DFT), and cost optimizationAssist with production bring-up and field issue resolution Provides support for customer problems/complaints. This could be in-house, telephone, modem, on site, etc. Prepare project cost and work-time estimates. Review existing electrical engineering criteria to identify necessary revisions, deletions or amendments to outdated material. Plan method and sequence of operations for developing and testing experimental electronic and electrical equipment. Proficiency in the use of electronic test equipment, comprehensive understanding of electronic circuitry theory. Comprehensive understanding of mechanical PCB design for audio and power circuitry. EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering EXPERIENCE Minimum of five years' experience in power electronics and/or audio amplifier design Minimum of five years' experience with analog circuit design and analysis skills. Schematic capture, PCB layout tools, and circuit simulation (Altium preferred). Hands-on lab experience debugging real hardware. Normal office setting, except when traveling
